About the Project

Rudong, Jiangsu Province has always had abundant seawater and freshwater resources. And is a natural treasure trove for aquaculture, as well as the birthplace of shrimp farming in greenhouses.

The unique tidal flat resources provide a broad stage for Rudong to explore “photovoltaics + fisheries”.

At present, the fishery and light project in Rudong’s outward-oriented agricultural development zone is making steady progress. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, Jiangsu Rudong plans to install a total of about 8 million KW of centralized photovoltaic, with a total installed capacity of 665MW, including four “fishery and photovoltaic” composite projects. When the project is fully completed, it will be able to supply 875 million KWh of green electricity to the grid every year, saving 253,750 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.05 million tonnes. The project has achieved a triple harvest of “fish, electricity, and environmental protection”.
